Managers and Coach FAQs

Do I need a team banner?
No, this is up to each team.  Typically, the younger teams will have banners while the older teams will not.

Do we need to have snacks?
No, this is up to each team.  Typically, the younger teams will have snacks while the older teams will not.

How do I enter scores for my games?
Scores only need to be entered for AA, AAA, Majors and Juniors games.  No scores are kept for L/S, T-ball and A. Scores need to be entered within 24 hours of game completion.

To enter a game score:
Go to your team home at 4SRLL.com.  Click on calendar. Click Results. Edit Score.  Enter the score and the pitch count

 
How do I enter pitch counts for my games?

Go to your team home at 4SRLL.com.  Click on calendar. Click Results. Edit Score.  Enter the score and the pitch count.

Who do I notify if I need to cancel a practice?
Please notify the county and our scheduling coordinator.  Failure to notify could result in the league losing the allocated field space.

What do I do if the scoreboard isn’t working?
Please confirm the GFI in the electrical box where the scoreboard is plugged in isn’t tripped (the button will be extended out).  If it is then reset by pushing the button in and hopefully that solves the problem. If not, please contact a park ranger at 4SRLL or notify our Field Maintenance Board member.  He will get back to you as soon as possible, but you may need to play the game without a scoreboard.

What do I do if equipment is not in the Knaack box or it is broken?
Please look in the other Knaack boxes around the fields for missing equipment.  It has likely been moved. If you still can’t find it after looking please notify our Field Maintenance Board member.  If a piece of equipment is broken and you can use one from a different field, please do so, but then remember to return the equipment when finished.

We will try to resolve any missing or broken equipment issues as soon as possible, but you may need to practice/play without the piece of equipment.

 
What do I do if it is raining?

You get wet.

Rain policy

  1. Until 1 hour before game time, only the League has the authority to cancel games due to rain, safety or field issues. 4SRLL will likely only ever cancel games on Kaeser Field unless there is a safety concern on the turf (e.g., Lightning, Lighting, etc.)

  2. From 1 hour to game time, the game can be cancelled by the Managers or the Umpire/GC. During a LS, TBALL or A game, either manager can call the game at anytime.

  3. After the game starts, only the Umpire/GC can call the game. Under no circumstances should managers, coaches or parents badger umpires - especially kid umpires.  

  4. Games can be momentarily delayed (up to 15 mins) because of downpour, but the original game start and end time still apply.

  5. No electronics should be used if there is any active rain. This includes scoreboards, speaker systems and pitching machines. Divisions that require machine pitch will revert back to Coach pitch.

*** Keep in mind that games that are not played due to rain, are subject to field availability for makeups. You should try to play through a light rain on the turf if possible.
